The client ordered this logo for representing his 3d graphics engine (http://lambdacube3d.com/)
The engine's functional code eliminates the possibility of a buggy engine. This means stable and better performance in comparison to C programming languages.
The current logo version in 2020
The old logo was an illustration instead of a good mark. It is a good idea that needs to be simplified and turned into a mark.
The cube with straight edges (no perspective shortening) in a 2D sheet is a polygon.
Polygon is also a term that everyone is familiar with in computer graphics and it is the strongest structural shape.
The lambda shape perfectly fits in the middle dividing the polygon into 3 geometrical shapes.
This logo is going to be seen mainly on screens and it needs colours. I've used this opportunity to add an extra level of detail to the logo about the LC3D culture.
Csaba feels close to nature and he is conscious about his carbon footprint and lifestyle. It has become clear that I'll have to use colours from nature.
The saturation of the colours show the boldness of the technology. It can become disruptive for the industry once all features are implemented.
Used the gradient effect to give a visual hint of the cube shape.
The client and I were both satisfied with the results. The new design shape is a timeless piece that my client doesn't have to update for many years to come.
